Since July 2009 AKTINA EFARMOGES company is the Agent for Greece & Cyprus of  Voith Turbo Schneider Propulsion which is a subsidiary of Voith Turbo Marine. Model tests and measurements of real size versions demonstrate that the Voith Schneider Propeller allow effective roll stabilization. Thanks to the short control times of the propeller, moments can be created that act against the roll motion of the ship. As a result, the roll motion of the ship is efficiently reduced – during sailing and also while the vessel is at standstill.
